Ditch the pen and pad and grab your video camera and head on down to one of your nearest polling centers.  You can be a part of the army of citizen journalists who are documenting this year’s national elections with the help of Video the Vote. 

Started in 2006, following the voting irregularities of 2000 and 2004, Video the Vote is an effort to protect voting rights by monitoring the electoral process.  In 2006, more than 1,300 citizen journalists answered the call.  As a volunteer, you can sign up online and go into action to document problems at your polling centers. 

Your footage will help ensure that the full story of Election Day gets told!
